Nuclear Power Plant Shutdowns and their Consequential Impacts on Global Warming

As nuclear power plant shut down greenhouse producing power plant will take their place thus replacing clean energy with much more dirty greenhouse gas energy. This will significantly add to the greenhouse gas burden. Anti-nuclear activists who are ofter also greenhouse gas opponents don’t seem to realize this. It will be decades before alternative energy can replace such clean power. Continue reading

Does Eliminating Nuclear Power as an OPTION for Replacing CO2 Emitting Power Plants Make Sense?

A case is presented that Nuclear Power, especially fusion from breeder reactors, should be considered as an Option for a source of non-greenhouse gas power generation. It has the potential of generating non-greenhouse power for the next thousand years. The potentials for accidents and the taking of lives by nuclear power is miniscule compared to lives taken annually by weather events as a result of Global Warming. Global Warming is happening at a faster rate than scientists had predicted and solutions urgently needed now. Continue reading

Nuclear Power Alternative – Less waste disposal problems

The use of Nuclear Power should be considered as an Optional source of greenhouse free energy. A more sustainable source of nuclear power is breeder reactor power. Yet in the US no research is being done on the energy alternative to solving the Greenhouse gas and Global Warming problem and time is quickly running out. Continue reading

Nuclear Power, one Solution to Global Warming and a Change of Heart

As an environmentalist I have been a strong long time opponent of the use of nuclear power for the generation of electricity.  This stems from the partial meltdown at Three Mile Island in 1979 in the US, the explosion and … Continue reading

Global Warming – A real threat to all Life on Earth

Global Warming and Climate Change are phrases that have been increasingly tossed around by the media for the last decade.  But I do not believe that the true consequences of nature’s wrath are adequately understood.  Its universal acceptance by the … Continue reading

What is Global Warming (Part 1/3) – The Fundamentals

I am of the belief that Global Warming is a scientific reality and that its current cause is primarily due to unsustainable greenhouse emissions from man.  I am equally convinced that it is still within our power to stop it … Continue reading

What is Global Warming (Part 2/3) – The Doomsday Scenario

Now that we have a better understanding of the fundamentals (see What is Global Warming (Part 1/3) – The Fundamentals) let us proceed with Global Warming.  This is a worst case scenario describing the state of climate leading up to the … Continue reading

What is Global Warming (Part 3/3) – Conclusions & Options

Conclusions Whether man is able to survive before nature eventually reverses rising temperatures remains unknown.  But as long as our species tries to dominate nature there will always be unintended consequences and one of them is the extinction of that … Continue reading
